Trident is a popular chewing gum brand. It comes in small pocket-size boxes that contain multiple packets of gum in it.
This lends itself to sharing quite well - customers tend to buy and carry them in boxes, so whenever they take it out for themselves, they can share (or are sometimes pressured to) and give out the other packets to other people. The gesture has become casual enough that even strangers can ask for gum. I wanted to depict this sharing relationship visually and how these people are connected in part, and sometimes only, by this product.
Corporate offices are often seen as sterile, stale spaces where there is little interaction despite there being many people in the physical area. I wanted to set gum in the context that it may be the only interactions some of these people have with each other on a slow day.
